Photography__“Anti-?”

你... 我早和你说过,耳朵,眼睛,微笑,接着品尝心流的泪。逆时针搅拌橙色饮料
和蓝色酒精,绿光和黑夜。别定义它,你
You... I have told you a long time ago, ears, eyes, smile, and then taste the tears that are shed in my heart.
Stir orange drinks and blue alcohol counterclockwise, green light and night. Don't define it, you.

Description:

This project explores the lives and perspectives of aromantic individuals, driven by my
desire to better understand aromanticism. Through conversations with aromantic(some are
also asexual) individuals, as well as careful storytelling, I have gained profound insights into
their experiences—insights I have sought to convey through creative visual expression.

The photo album features several individuals whose stories are deeply personal and complex. Rather than documenting their voices in a literal sense, I take an evocative approach, using visual metaphors and close-up shots of their bodies to capture the nuances of their emotions and worldviews.

Some, unable to sense romance between their parents and exposed to gossip about marriage, find romance unappealing. Some cannot accept romantic love or physical touch, yet find joy in witnessing others form relationships and celebrating their happiness. Some feel indifferent but mimic societal norms—one recalled crying during a breakup despite feeling nothing, performing emotions as expected.

Each photograph carries the weight of these unique narratives, amplifying the complexities
of aroace
and inviting viewers to reflect on alternative ways of experiencing love,
connection, and selfhood. I would be delighted to share the deeper stories behind each image.
